As an independent freelancer I self-managed a client list individuals, and companies.
I produced promotional, editorial, and event videos, providing my clients with a packages that included video production, post-production, graphic design, and DVD publishing.
Quality control, organization and archiving of hours of new content weekly, ranging from original content, licensed content, and promotional footage. Format shows to create a cohesive brand, adding logos, animations as well as removing visual errors, encoding all shows for upload on the Reserve (YouTube channel).
QCing, and technical problem solving of shows sold and being delivered to TV Networks.
Creating or modifying motion graphics, and editing show teasers, sizzles and additional content.
Co-wrote, directed, and edited the pilot episode of the Brokelandia series. To date it has over 50,000 views, and coverage by The New York Times, Huffington Post, and The Gothamist.
Wrote articles varying from my personal expertise of video production on a low budget to consumer investigations, price comparisons, and guides on various ways to live in New York City on the cheap.
Designed, story boarded, and animated motion infographics for AT&T's social media pages.
Shot and edited HD video, implementing elements from Adobe After Effects for corporate clients like Chobani, AT&T, Forrest Labs, and Dunkin Doughnuts.
I worked under the Director of New Media editing web exclusive videos, logging DV tapes, and transcribing interviews. Internship included the opportunity to independently shoot b-roll for the series, and a PBS credit.
Secondary roles included press release photography, closed caption script writing, and acting as a production assistant on video shoots in the field.
During E3 2010 I supported the Kotaku team from the Gawker Media NYC headquarters taking in and organizing multimedia and press releases from industry sources, and writing blog posts on breaking news.
I wrote several feature stories that averaged over 40,000 unique views each. My greatest success being “Chinatown Arcade, An Unlikely Place For Tolerance” which scooped a NY Times published days later while hitting over 50,000 views.
